Music Samples

I have amassed a lot of recording time over the years.  Below is just a small sampling of the various projects I have been involved in throughout my musical career.

Elephant in the Room

Elephant in the Room

Play Video

This is a tune composed by Jeremy Cubert and was used as an entry submission for the Ernie Ball 2020 Crossroad Competition.  I was awarded First Place with the submission.

Another contest entry for Kiesel Guitars

My reinterpretation of the Joe Bonamassa song, "Lonesome Road Blues."

Original dreamscape composition with a Gurian I recently acquired.

"Better World"

My reinterpretation of the BB King song, "There Must be a Better World Somewhere."

Backing tracks by Dan Cubert.

"Free"

"Mirrors"

This was my first single released in 1989 with the band, Human Interest.  Other than the 80's production, the interesting thing about this song is that the piano parts were played using my Casio MG-510 strat-style Midi guitar.  The Casio was such a quality stand-alone guitar that it was my main ax for a short time.  The second tune is called "Mirrors" co-written by Mark Moran.

"The Cat"

"Smooth it Out"

These are two original progressive jazz tunes I recorded with my song-writing partner Dan Cubert in 1990.  At this time, I was playing a G&L guitar which is shown in the picture.  David Torn was a fan of G&L Guitars at the time.  Yes, that is the type of clothes I wore at the time when I was playing in various top-40 bands.

"Roam"

This song was released in 1997 on Casual Tonalities Records after I arrived in California with the band Kaptain Krunch.  Co-written by Dan Cubert.

"Makes You Wonder"

Two songs from the N'Cognito release in 2003.  While I was the guitarist in this band, we played some wild live shows around Los Angeles.  Don't think people knew quite what to think of us.  It was a lot of fun though.

"It Don't Mean Nothing To Me"

"Caravan"
"Torn Out"

This project is called Drawing Amps and these three instrumental songs  were recorded in 2014.

"Rerun"
"Hey Mister"
"Bldg. 95"

This project is called Mob Prophets that I have recently  been working on with Dan Cubert.  I also included two alternate takes from the end of a song called "Bldg 95" so you can get an idea of how to approach a song in different ways.

"Bldg. 95" (alternate take)

"Soul Full of Hope"

Here is a short music demo I did for a local guitar amplifier builder.  It is a re-recording of part of a song from the Kaptain Krunch CD.

"Virus"
"Messiah"

Two songs from the Holiday Meat EP.

"What You Say"
"Miracle MIle"

Two songs from the FUZZ CD.  Not hard to recognize The Beatles influence on "Miracle Mile."

This a song written by Dan Cubert reflected Spring 2020 called "Social Distancing."

"RIL"

This song was a collaboration between Jeremy Cubert and I.  Jeremy is an overall accomplished musician who has played with many well-known artists including Jon Anderson from Yes.  This tune is an homage to those early Jeff Beck albums. A link to more of Jeremy's music can be found on my links page.
